Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said ‘It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’
Forty years long was I grieved with that generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, And they have not known my ways:
“For forty years I was grieved and disgusted with that generation, And I said, ‘They are a people who err in their heart, And they do not acknowledge or regard My ways.’
Forty years long was I grieved and disgusted with that generation, and I said, It is a people that do err in their hearts, and they do not approve, acknowledge, or regard My ways.
Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
For forty years I was disgusted with that generation; I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know my ways.”
For forty years I despised that generation; I said, ‘These people have twisted hearts. They don’t know my ways.’
For forty years I loathed that generation; I said, ‘This is a people whose hearts go astray, they don’t understand how I do things.’
Then God got tired of them and said, “You never show good sense, and you don't understand what I want you to do.”
Forty years was I grieved with the generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways;
Say ye among the Gentiles, the Lord hath reigned. For he hath corrected the world, which shall not be moved: he will judge the people with justice.
I was angry with them for 40 years. I said, ‘They are not faithful to me. They refuse to do what I say.’
So I was angry with those people all the time for 40 years. I said, “These people love to go the wrong way. They refuse to follow my ways.”
For forty years I was disgusted with that generation, and I said, “They are a people who have hearts that stray. They do not acknowledge my ways.”
For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.”
For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.”
I ·was angry with [felt disgust for] ·those people [L that generation] for forty years. I said, ‘They are ·not loyal to me [L a people whose hearts wander/go astray] and have not understood my ways.’
Forty years have I contended with this generation, and said, They are a people that err in heart, for they have not known my ways.
For 40 years I was disgusted with those people. So I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts continue to stray. They have not learned my ways.’
For forty years I was disgusted with those people. I said, ‘How disloyal they are! They refuse to obey my commands.’
For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation; I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know My ways.”
I was angry with those people for 40 years. I said, ‘They are not loyal to me. They have not understood my ways.’
For forty years I loathed that generation, so I said, “They are a people whose hearts continuously err, and they have not understood my ways.”
Forty years long I was grieved with this generation and said, It is a people that err from the heart, who have not known my ways;

“For forty years I watched them in disgust,” the Lord God says. “They were a nation whose thoughts and heart were far away from me. They refused to accept my laws.
So come, let us worship: bow before him, on your knees before God, who made us! Oh yes, he’s our God, and we’re the people he pastures, the flock he feeds. Drop everything and listen, listen as he speaks: “Don’t turn a deaf ear as in the Bitter Uprising, As on the day of the Wilderness Test, when your ancestors turned and put me to the test. For forty years they watched me at work among them, as over and over they tried my patience. And I was provoked—oh, was I provoked! ‘Can’t they keep their minds on God for five minutes? Do they simply refuse to walk down my road?’ Exasperated, I exploded, ‘They’ll never get where they’re headed, never be able to sit down and rest.’”
For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.”
For 40 years I was disgusted with those people. So I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts continue to stray. They have not learned my ways.’
Forty years I loathed that generation; I said: “This people’s heart goes astray; they do not know my ways.”
For forty years I was disgusted with that generation, And said they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways.

For forty years I was continually disgusted with that generation, and I said, ‘These people desire to go astray; they do not obey my commands.’
For 40 years I was angry with them. I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray. They do not know how I want them to live.’
For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’

I was angry with the people of that day for forty years. I said, “They always think wrong thoughts. And they do not know My ways.”
For forty years I was angry with them, and I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’
For forty years I loathed that generation and said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they do not regard my ways.’

For forty years I loathed that generation. So I said: ‘It is a people whose heart goes astray, who do not know My ways.’
For 40 years I despised that grumbling generation and said, ‘Their hearts are unfaithful; they no longer walk in My ways; though I call, they do not listen to My voice.’
Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, “It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways.”
Forty years I was offended to this generation; and I said, Ever[more] they err in heart. And these men knew not my ways; (For forty years I was offended by that generation; and I said, They err in their hearts forevermore. And these people do not know my ways;)
Forty years I am weary of the generation, And I say, `A people erring in heart -- they! And they have not known My ways:'
